Achieving the cool "Model Off-Duty"style on a relaxed day when you want to look effortlessly stylish, basic pieces are key. The Off-Duty uniform consists of neutral staple pieces, cool shoes (heels or flats), and an edgy piece to pull it all together.
One of the keys to a Model Off-Duty look is achieving a seemingly tall figure. It is all about creating a long line, from top to bottom. If you are on the petite side like myself, no worries, there are a few tricks to get the look.
When trying to achieve the look of longer legs, opt for a neutral or flesh toned bottom, or try going with a lighter shade of denim shorts. Pairing with a v-neck top keeps the geometric look of long lines.
If you don't want to bare all that skin, keep a seamless long line with monochrome and monotone shades. This includes, grays, whites, nudes, and blacks. For example, pairing skinny white bottoms with a fitted white top and white shoes creates the look of a longer silhouette because of the continuous one shade.
Adding an edgy accessory piece is what sets the look apart from any other "relaxed" outfit. A detailed chain necklace, stylish phone case, or interesting handbag can do the job. Try to stay away from bold prints. Remember, keep it simple.
To pull the look together, no Model Off-Duty outfit would be complete without a chic pair of shades. Any pair will do that can be incorporated into your style. I've opted for my trusty cat-eyes.
It's all about keeping it simple and basic to pull off this effortlessly relaxed look. Less is always more. For this look, I've paired a basic black v-neck with cut-off light denim wash shorts. I opted for strappy black booty heels to elongate my legs, and added a coin choker necklace.
Minimal make-up with a neutral pouty lip and a middle part with straight hair finishes the look off with simplicity.
