I know what you're probably thinking right now by the title of this post. Khakis? And no, not khakis like the ones Target workers or Jake from Statefarm wear. Khaki. Which has basically become just a fancy way to say the color olive/military green.
It is not new to see this color around in all things fashion related. This Spring/Summer Khaki was actually one of the on trend colors rather than the usual mint green we see. Khaki has always been seen in edgy fashion designs and pieces. I've got to admit, this time around, I have never been more obsessed or excited about the color for Fall.
The color of the moment can be seen just about everywhere, seriously. My most favorite thing about this color would have to be the military/uniform-esque vibe that it has; a main element to effortless dressing. It doesn't require much to look pulled together, tailored, and chic in Khaki. In a monotone outfit or paired with other neutrals, it certainly looks it's best.
The greatest thing about this color of the moment is that it looks great on anyone because it compliments every skin tone! Kim and Kanye West prove that very well and definitely wear the trend well too. Khaki green just might be the new black.
From runway to street-style looks, this trend can be found in every form. My favorites are in an oversized long coat/dusters, jumpsuits, and most importantly shoes of course, especially minimal heeled sandals or over the knee boots.
I for sure hope this color stays on trend for a very long time because I am certainly enjoying it. Let me know which is your favorite way to wear this trend!
