As I've mentioned in a previous post, I am really in love with denim distressed at the knee with a simple cut-out. It gives an updated look to an old pair of jeans and that is just what I did with these ones here. Purchasing a pair of ripped jeans essentially, does not soound like it makes sense when you say it out loud. Not to mention when they can typically cost about $125 for a good pair.
I've owned these jeans since I was 15 years old (I am blessed they still fit). The quality is still great but I figured they would be the perfect pair to DIY.
I've made a simple cut-out at the knees and chopped off about an inch of the length at the bottom, put them into the washer and dryer and Voila! Without having to purchase anything as well!
There you have it. Simple DIY distressed denim jeans. The wash of these jeans makes the fraying look really chic and clean as crazy as that may sound for distressed denim.
Experiement with your older jeans and have fun being creative!
