Hello everyone and Happy Hump-Day!
This week seems like it is ending just as quickly as it has started.
Living in New York, sometimes it's easy to forget just how beautiful and engaging the city is. There are always things to do in New York and they are generally really easy to find and don't cost much if at all.
This week I spent some quality time with my grandmother and my older sister and we sat in as the live audience for a taping of The View this Tuesday! It was very exciting to be close to the hosts. Our seats were pretty good. We sat in the second row on the left side. Jill Scott also performed towards the end of the show and Raven, Whoopi, and Nicole sat on the steps right next to me as we watched her sing! When the show was over, all of the audience members were sent home with a copy of Jill Scott's new Album, Woman.
After waiting in line since the early morning and finally seeing the show, it was definitely worth it. Especially being able to see it with two of my favorite people.
We ate afterwards at a French restaurant in SoHo called Felix Restaurant. This is a regular for us. I had crab cake, steak and fries, and creme brulee. If you ever go, do try the steak, it is amazing! Not to mention this place can be considered a landmark because it was the restaurant that Adam Sandler and Dylan & Cole Sprouse used to pee on in the movie Big Daddy. I know, weirdly awesome.
For the day, I wore this light pink/blush pleated maxi dress with a high low hemline, something I never thought I would like but as a shorty it works for me! The dress was really flowy and breathable for the hot weather we seem to be experiencing in New York this week. My mirrored blue shades created a cooler vibe for this look and made the outfit less girly. I loved it.
